Chinese New Year is on the way! This might be the first time that the Chinese in the globe will have to celebrate the New Year virtually under the new normal. Can you think of any ideas to share your blessings and the sweets in the traditional candy box with your friends and family while still maintaining the social distancing and home quarantine? The Jockey Club “How Memory Sticks” Arts Education Programme provides you an augmented reality application, “Candy Box AR (全盒AR)” : http://howmemorysticks.org/AR/AR1/ to make your wishes come true!
The application “Candy Box AR (全盒AR)”, using augmented reality (AR) technology, can be matched up with a set of nine lucky envelopes printed with different traditional Chinese New Year food that can be downloaded for free. Just open the app and scan the envelopes with your mobile camera, playful animations will pop up to introduce the auspicious meanings of the food. Players can also turn the animation into an e-card for sharing the food and blessings to relatives and friends. If you scan the three kinds of lucky envelopes together, the pop-up animation will form a candy box showing you the meanings of every traditional Chinese New Year food in the box.
Although we might not be able to visit our relatives in this coming Chinese New Year, we can share the joy and happiness enveloped in traditional Chinese New Year food through “Candy Box AR (全盒AR)”!

「全盒AR」應用程式，透過擴增實境(AR)技術，配備一套九款印有各式賀年食品的利是封供免費下載。只要打開應用程式，以手機鏡頭掃瞄經打印及剪裁製成的利是封，屏幕便會彈出有趣動畫介紹賀年食品象徵的吉祥寓意，更可製作成電子賀卡傳送予親友，分享美食與祝福；將三款利是封一同掃瞄，又可組成精美全盒，每種過年食品，都有一美好寓意。
新春期間無法像往時四出拜年，不如安心留在家中，一起應用上述程式，拜年之餘又富教育意義，邊玩邊學歡度新春！
