Social Career, an online volunteering platform, has applied its expertise in the latest information technology to develop a platform that connects different factions of Hong Kong society to support and give back to the community.
As a Hong Kong charity, we are committed to standing by our community during difficult times, including the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result of the virus, many of our NGO partners' services have been negatively impacted and hindered, lessening the resources they have to provide much needed supplies and help to Hong Kong’s most vulnerable groups. To assist our NGOs and these groups, Social Career has set-up a free online platform for community based-distribution of essential supplies. All community stakeholders, including corporates, families and individuals, should unite and work together to support their urgent needs.
In order to place access the platform, eligible beneficiaries only need to register, following which they may place orders for free surgical masks and hand sanitizers. After receiving the beneficiaries’ order, our volunteers will deliver the materials directly to the beneficiaries’ homes.

Giving what we can
In phase one of our ‘Giving’ project, we received essential funding from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charity Trust, enabling us to acquire our initial supplies. Our supplies are packaged, distributed and delivered by our volunteers, which we have recruited through our Social Career volunteering platform. We greatly appreciated the support provided to us by our volunteers and our the following parties, which have made our efforts possible:

【Social Career Giving 正式啟動、需要你的支持！ (按此查看計劃進度）】
社職Social Career作為一個連繫香港社會各界的義工網，希望利用科技使各項義工服務得以更有效地進行及得到成效。
有見新型冠狀病毒(COVID-19)疫情嚴重，社職Social Career為服務受影響的機構伙伴，及嚴重缺乏抗疫物資之弱勢社群，設立了一個免費物資網上平台 – Social Career Giving，無論你是公司企業或有心人，都可以貢獻自己的一分力，一同合作把資源送到有需要的人士手上，提供急切支援。
為急需援助的弱勢社群解決燃眉之急
於COVID-19疫情期間，所有合資格之受惠人士只需要進入此平台登記，便能直接下單免費領取應急物資，現時供應之物資主要為外科口罩及酒精搓手液。社職義工於平台收到訂單後，便會安排直接運送物資到有需要人士家中。
人人支持才能事成
本計劃由成功搜羅首批口罩至建立此免費物資網上平台期間，更得到賽馬會慈善信託基金支助平台搜購物資的部份，並通過社職Social Career義工網招募不同崗位的義工，擔當物資分配、包裝、運輸及上門派送的義工服務。至現時為止，無論在資金、物資、倉存及和義工人手都有賴以下各單位支持此第一輪計劃：
