Visiting museums are not just for fun and leisure, but also for understanding the cultural and artistic values behind the exhibits! However, there is no exhibition operating at 24/7. Thus, the Jockey Club “How Memory Sticks” Arts Education Programme has designed a special programme for the public for 2 consecutive years bringing exhibition onto everyone’s desk. With this model set, everyone can have their own exhibition and enjoy it at anytime and anywhere.

This year, there are 2 sets of models designed by “How Memory Sticks”, including “My Memory: Exhibition-on-Desk Mini Model Set” and “Travelling the Natural World: Exhibition-on-Desk Model Set”. The former combines the themes of the 3-year “How Memory Sticks” programme, including “wares”, “architectures” and “paintings”. Players can make use of the attached cards in the set to design their own exhibition. They can choose their favourite exhibits, such as paintings and ancient crafts, and also create their own artwork for display. The latter relates to the “painting” theme of “How Memory Sticks”. With the aid of interactive multimedia setting, the model set is taking the public to a natural landscape tour of the ancients. Players are able to learn about the delight and characteristics of traditional paintings from the ancients’ ideal world and discover the values behind Chinese traditional art. The model set can be displayed on the table and the various parts can be combined freely. It is definitely a mobile exhibition for everyone to discover “memories” around them anytime and anywhere.

Interested schools and non-profit organizations are welcome to apply for getting the “Exhibition-on-Desk” model sets. Please kindly contact Ms. Lee via phone at 3998 3151 for further details.
